ABOUT THE NANCY LIEBERMAN FOUNDATION

The Nancy Lieberman Foundation was established with the mission to provide a healthy, physical, emotional and mental environment for young girls and boys to build their self-esteem and confidence so they will be able to make the right choices in the future. Nancy Lieberman is dedicated to expanding and ensuring that sports and educational opportunities exist for youth through her basketball camps and clinics, DreamCourts projects and educational programs.

BASKETBALL CAMPS AND CLINICS

Nancy Lieberman celebrates over 30 years of conducting summer basketball camps and free clinics for children in the Dallas metroplex. The Nancy Lieberman basketball camps serve as a classroom to teach basketball fundamentals, teamwork, structure and life skills that will propel the next generation of student-athletes to success on and off the court. Lieberman plays an active role in operating her camps. She is present at each session and conducts all the skills and drills with the campers. Lieberman's camps and clinics provide children the life-building essentials they will need to succeed in all aspects of their future. She teaches young athletes the importance of education, responsibility, accountability and teamwork. Hundreds of applicants have gone on to play collegiate sports, with some receiving athletic scholarships. And dozens more have gone on to college to pursue their dreams. By providing a healthy, physical, emotional and mental environment, we hope to build students' self-esteem and confidence so they will be able to make the right choices in the future. We are confident that together we can make a positive difference in the lives of these youth.

DREAMCOURTS

With the DreamCourts program, Nancy Lieberman has fulfilled her dream of collaborating with WorldVentures Foundation to build high-quality basketball courts in disadvantaged areas, with minimal material expenditure or construction costs. The goal of the DreamCourts program is to provide children in underprivileged communities with a safe area to play basketball, participate in free basketball clinics, interact socially, and learn important lessons about teamwork and good sportsmanship.

In 2010, the Nancy Lieberman Foundation partnered with Connor Sport Court International and the WorldVentures Foundation to produce the Foundation's first DreamCourt in Frisco, Texas. The DreamCourt is located adjacent to a Boys & Girls Club serving hundreds of children every day.

A second DreamCourt at the South Boys & Girls Club in Austin, Texas, was launched October 2011. This court expanded our collaboration through a generous grant from the United States Tennis Association (USTA) and provides approximately 1,000 children a day with two full basketball courts and six QuickStart Tennis Courts, making it the first court of its kind in the nation! The DreamCourt is specially designed by Sport Court to include two playing surfaces that can be used for both basketball and tennis.

The third DreamCourt was constructed in collaboration with Arizona Cardinal All-Pro wide receiver, Larry Fitzgerald in his hometown of Minneapolis, MN.

The fourth DreamCourt was unveiled at St. PJ's Children's Home in San Antonio on November 27, 2012. Throughout the Silver Stars 2012 season, Silver & Black Give Back, the public charity for Spurs Sports & Entertainment's family of team, and the WorldVentures Foundation, in partnership with the Nancy Lieberman Foundation, raised funds to build the outdoor basketball court for the kids of St. PJ's Children's Home, and is considered phase one in the development of St. PJ's new Inspiration Park.

On June 20, 2013 Nancy travelled to Indianapolis for the unveiling of the Foundation's fifth DreamCourt at Sheltering Wings, a domestic violence center. American Idol winner Jordin Sparks contributed to the project and through her relationship with Sheltering Wings helped pick that as the selected location for the fifth DreamCourt.

In June 2013, Nancy met up with actor and entertainer Billy Crystal in their hometown Long Beach, NY where they announced the plans to build a sixth DreamCourt in the community. This decision was part of Crystal's million dollar donation to the area to help it recover from the damage caused by Hurricane Sandy.

EDUCATION

The Nancy Lieberman Foundations feels it is imperative to continue to educate our youth and encourage them to work hard and use good judgment in their everyday lives. The Nancy Lieberman Foundation has three educational programs: Each One, Teach One Laptop program, the Backpack program and the Nancy Lieberman Educational Scholarship. All three of these programs were created to positively impact academic participation and school attendance.

The Nancy Lieberman Foundation prides itself on ethical and caring behavior. We want to - and will - make a difference with your help and support. The Foundation distributes the money entrusted to them in a variety of ways including education, scholarships, and health and fitness. Lieberman emphasizes that the long-term commitment will always be fueled by the love within her and the Foundation. She continues to implement and perfect her plan to meet the needs of youth across the country
